With
the Design/Build system, Howell Construction has responsibility for
all the building elements. Under this delivery system, the owner contracts
with us for the
services
to be rendered. We, in turn, have contracts with the architect
as well as all the subcontractors. Therefore, Howell Construction
is contractually obligated for the entire project. |
The
Design/Build system has many advantages. The system offers all the
benefits of the construction management
system and also relieves the owner of risks associated with the construction.
Because the architect works directly with Howell Construction, we
assume total responsibility for the overall design, overall engineering
and
management
of the plans. |
Howell
Construction continually coordinates and supervises all members of
the team to ensure quality construction that is delivered on time and
within
budget.
The
design/construction
teams work together during initial planning to spearhead substantial
schedule savings through the overlap of design with construction.
